Classes at Croydon Hills Primary School
Welcome to Origins Martial Arts & Fitness
Our Mission
At Origins Martial Arts & Fitness, we help children grow into confident, respectful, and capable young people through authentic Pencak Silat, martial arts training.
Our classes go beyond kicks and punches. We use martial arts as a vehicle to develop focus, coordination, discipline, and resilience, while teaching children how to work as part of a team and carry themselves with confidence—on and off the mats.
We also place a strong emphasis on physical literacy and movement quality, building a foundation of mobility, balance, and coordination that supports not only martial arts, but sport and life in general. Students learn how to move their bodies with control, efficiency, and confidence.

Student Pathways
For students who show interest and readiness, Origins offers clear pathways to progress beyond general training.
This may include opportunities to:
-
Train towards performance and artistic demonstrations
-
Develop skills for controlled sparring
-
Compete in local and interstate tournaments, under qualified coaching and supervision
Participation in competitions is always optional, and students progress at their own pace. Our priority is building strong fundamentals first—physically, mentally, and technically.
